At Bluebonnet Confections, our delicious treats are proudly made in a home kitchen under the Texas Cottage Food Law. We are committed to transparency and compliance to ensure you understand how our products are made and delivered.

Cottage Food Operation Disclosure:

THIS FOOD IS MADE IN A HOME KITCHEN AND IS NOT INSPECTED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES OR A LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT.

This required statement signifies that as a cottage food operation, we produce our confections from our residence in accordance with the specific provisions of the Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 437. We operate within the annual gross income limit for cottage food production in Texas.

Our Commitment to Food Safety:

As the operator of Bluebonnet Confections, I, Nancy Fernandez, have successfully completed an accredited basic food safety education and training program for food handlers, demonstrating my commitment to safe food handling practices.

Product Safety & Permitted Foods:

All products offered by Bluebonnet Confections are classified as non-potentially hazardous foods (non-TCS foods), meaning they do not require time or temperature control for safety. We do not produce or sell any foods prohibited under the Texas Cottage Food Law (e.g., raw meat, seafood, cut fruits, or products requiring refrigeration for safety).

How to Receive Your Order (Texas Sales Only):

In accordance with Texas Cottage Food Law, all sales are direct-to-consumer within the state of Texas. For online orders, products must be delivered personally by the cottage food operator or picked up by the consumer in person.

Local Pickup: You may arrange to pick up your order directly from our location at 3413 Broken Spoke Trl, Georgetown TX 78628, by appointment. Pickup times will be confirmed after your order is placed and processed.

Local Delivery: We offer personal delivery within a 20-mile radius of Georgetown, TX 78628. Delivery times will be arranged and confirmed after your order is placed. Delivery fees may apply and will be communicated at checkout.

We are unable to ship our products via mail carriers (e.g., USPS, FedEx, UPS) or fulfill orders outside of Texas under current Texas Cottage Food Law regulations.
